Alcoy’s archaeological museum is open to the public and contains a chronologically arranged display of artefacts dating back to the Neolithic Period.
Housed in a building of Valencian Gothic and Renaissance styles built between 1572 and 1584 the museum location served as the seat of local government for over300 years.
The museum’s collections and the building that guards them were declared Monument of National Artistic Interest in 1962.

Opening hours: from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 h. Saturday, Sunday and festivity days from 11:00 to 14:00 h. Closed: 25/12 – 01/01 – Day of the Moors and Christians Parades and San Jorge’s Day.
Entrance fee for adults is 1€, under 18’s pay 0.50€
