COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the Alcoy region

COVID-19 tests have diagnosed 85 new cases of coronavirus in the Alcoy Health Department registered in recent days. New infections raise the accumulated incidence in these regions to 14 days to 169.69 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

In the latest update of the incidence in these regions, dated November 28 and made public by Sanitat this Tuesday, the Department reports that PCR tests or antigen tests have diagnosed 31 new positives for coronavirus in Alcoy, 13 in Banyeres, 12 in Cocentaina, and 9 in Castalla. Also, 7 residents of Muro and another 7 of Onil are affected by COVID-19, Ibi adds 4 cases, and in Beniarrés and L’Orxa, one respectively.

The increase in cases does not have, for the moment, an equal impact on hospital admissions. However, according to the information provided, there are six patients with covid treated at the Virgen de los Lirios hospital, one of whom is in the ICU.
