The Virgen de los Lirios Hospital in Alcoy has zero COVID-19 patients

The Department of Salud de Alcoy continues to add new coronavirus cases, although none are serious. Despite this, cases in the Alcoy Health Department have risen by 11 to 57 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

According to a health source, the Virgen de los Lirios Hospital had planned to discharge the only patient with coronavirus admitted to the hospital on Friday. The Intensive Care Unit is also currently with zero Covid patients. According to the Ministry of Health report, 24 people with COVID-19 are being treated at home. Five in Alcoy, one in Castella, nine in Cocentaina, six in Ibi, one in L’Orxa, two in Muro, and one in Vall de Gallinera.
These latest numbers bring the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the Alcoy Health Department area to 15,829 since the pandemic began. The number of people dying from COVID-19 in the surrounding area remains at 425.
