157 new cases of COVID-19 in the Alcoy area

According to the Alcoy Health Department, the cumulative incidence of people infected with COVID-19 has risen to 363.53 per 100,000 inhabitants. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of infections in the region by coronavirus is already at 14,339. The latest data by municipalities and departments offered on Tuesday keep the risk of transmission in the Alcoy area very high.

The town with the highest number of cases is the most populated, with Alcoy adding 85 new cases. Ibi added 22 new cases, Banyeres de Mariola 13 and Muro and Castalla 11. Below ten new cases were Cocentaina with four, Onil and Alfafara three, Millena and Agres two, and one in Penáguila. Of the diagnosed cases, ten are undergoing hospital treatment at the Virgen de los Lirios hospital in Alcoy.
