Police clamp down on Alcoy curfew

The National Police intensified their patrols and checkpoints over the weekend, fining people for not wearing facemasks and breaking the curfew rules.
Despite the majority of Alcoy’s citizens complying with the Valencian Communities rules, 43 people were given fines for not wearing masks or being out when they were supposed to be staying home.
At police checkpoints enforcing the ordinance about not entering or leaving the city without a valid reason, the police arrested three people for drug trafficking. One vehicle had 200 grams of marijuana while another was transporting cocaine and a large amount of cash.
