Alcoy invests more the 1€ million to improve accessibility
During 2020 Alcoy has invested more than a million euros adapting infrastructures, public roads, and municipal services to improve care and their use for people with functional diversity or older people. Throughout these last 12 months, there have been actions to improve access to zebra crossings, sidewalks, and parking lots.
The Councilor for Universal Accessibility, Jordi Martínez, highlights that “we are the government that has worked the most to improve accessibility in this city since we are convinced of the importance of having an Alcoy adapted to all people. We do not work only on the Accessibility Plan; for us, it is a cross-cutting issue that we apply to all the works carried out. We have worked hard, and we will continue to do so; we will continue to invest in having the most accessible city possible.”
