Alcoy Improves Access To La Sarga Rock Paintings
Alcoy invests more than 35,000 euros in improving access to La Sarga.
The action is focused on repairing the path that leads to the shelters of the rock paintings, the installation of a platform, or the location of information panels.
The material for the performances has been raised to the shelters of the paintings traditionally with mules.
They will repair the path that leads to the shelters of the Sarga and will place a platform to see better the rock art located in the sanctuary. These are two of the actions framed in the project to improve accessibility to this enclave of the Barranc de la Cova Foradada and will be implemented during the next month with an investment of more than 35,800 euros, according to reports from the City Council.
Lorena Zamorano, Councillor for Tourism and Heritage, highlights these improvements and others implemented to facilitate visits to this world heritage site.
Finally, two information panels will also be placed and will, at the same time, serve as a railing.
