Madrid Brings The Cinema To The Street

As residents in the Spanish capital grapple with one of the most stringent lockdown measures in Europe due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Madrid authorities have come up with a great idea to bring people together.

At the moment, people all over Spain have been confined to their apartments only allowed to leave to buy food or medical supplies.

This is having a heavy toll on people who are used to socializing with their friends and family. Despite the strict lockdown, all in all, the Spanish are abiding by the rules and staying home.

To bring people together, Madrid has brought giant cinema screens into the neighborhoods so people can watch movies together from their balconies

So as not to be repetitive, the mobile cinema moves to a different neighborhood each evening.

Have a look at the video and tell us what you think about Madrid’s idea.
