Alcoy will once again have a Batoi Market on Sundays, but only neighborhood residents will be able to access it and there will be a limited capacity of 24 people. Alcoy City Council has reiterated that during the state of emergency brought on by the COVID-19 crisis people should continue shopping close to home.
Only 12 stalls will be open selling everyday necessities with a maximum of 24 people allowed into the market enclose at any one time which will be controlled by a separate entrance and exit.
“The Market will open following all the indications of the Resolution of the Ministry with establishments of first necessity. We ask people to be careful because we are still in a state of alarm. The Market will be for the people of the neighborhood who will be able to access in a very restricted and controlled way to guarantee all the sanitary security measures ”, explained the Councilor for Commerce, Vanessa Moltó
