The Valencian Community Sees Its First Snow

Following a blast of cold air that has left Northern provinces bracing for up to 30cm of snow, the temperatures on the Costa Blanca are predicted to drop by four degrees over the weekend.

While the provinces of Asturias, Galicia and Castilla y Leon are on an orange alert for snow, northern parts of the Valencian Community got a slight dusting Thursday night.

Along the coast Alicante and Benidorm can expect temperatures to drop to six degrees while places like Alcoy can expect to see temperatures go as low as three degrees overnight.

With no precipitation in the forecast, it is unlikely that the interior will see any snow but is a reminder to people that winter is on its way.
