Heavy rain closes roads and rail in the region

Heavy rainfall has caused the closure of two roads in Muro and Beniarrés after having received in excess of 400 litres per square meter since the beginning of the storm

The cold front is affecting roads in the region with the CV-700 closed as it passes through Muro and the CV-705 near Beniarrés.

The heavy rainfall has also caused the interruption of the Alcoi-Xàtiva train, so the service between these two stations is being carried out by road, according to Renfe.

Landslide closes Cami de la Murtera, in Alcoy,

In Alcoy the Camí de la Murtera is closed due to landslides, according to municipal sources.

Since the storm began, and according to the records of the Avamet observatories, 401 litres per square meter have been recorded in the Beniarrés Climate Museum, followed by Gaianes with 286, in the Valleta de Agres with 258 , in L’Orxa with 236, in the Font del Baladre in Muro and in l’Alqueria d’Asnar with 144.
