Valencia opens its first ocean swimming pool
Fancy going for a swim while in Valencia but you don’t want to go to the beach? Well, now you can after everybody’s favourite Mediterranean city opens a seawater swimming pool in the marina.
Created in the heart of the city’s famous America’s Cup marina, the saltwater swimming pool measures 24 metres by 33 metres and has a depth of eight metres.
The pool also has a large area for sunbathing; sports facilities and green areas where 200 newly planted trees provide shade from the sun.
During the summer, several events are planned, including a film festival that will feature ocean-themed movies like Steven Spielberg’s classic “Jaws.”
The pool is free to use and is open daily between 11.30am and 7.30pm.
