AITEX, the textile technology institute, has organized modernist clothing courses for women that will be held in July.
Lorena Zamorano Councillor of Tourism in functions has presented the courses with the aim of “facilitating the preparation of costumes for the next Modernist Week, to be held from September 16 to 22″.
The textile technology institute will make its teachers available to show participants how to make clothing and accessories, take measurements, pattern making and clothing. María José Domenech, an Aitex technician, points out that these are professionals are well-schooled in the matter.
The four courses; Vintage dresses, skirts and shirts, handbags and accessories and haute couture hats, will be held on the mornings of July at different times and range from 110 euros to 270 euros. They include, apart from the training, the clothing material.
Modernism is a philosophical movement that, along with cultural trends and changes, arose from wide-scale and far-reaching transformations in Western society during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
