Six rural villages in El Comtat to get ATM’s
Six rural municipalities in El Comtat will have an ATM in the coming months. The Valencian government is putting out to tender the installation of this service as a measure against the depopulation in rural areas.
The villages that will receive ATM’s in El Comtat are, Almudaina, Alqueria d’Asnar, Fageca, Famorca and Quatretondeta that, to date, do not have financial services. Antonio Such, general director of Public Administration, emphasizes that the objective of promoting this initiative is to give greater coverage to these small municipalities and avoid depopulation.
The Government will invest 7.4 million euro’s for the installation of ATMs in 120 municipalities and districts of the Valencian Community and will encourage banks, too, to create advisory offices in these locations.
