Spanish police have had to remove an entire UK football team after the plane’s captain requested assistance after landing in Alicante.
Officers from the Guardia Civil boarded the Bristol to Alicante flight after other passengers complained of the football team’s drunken and aggressive behaviour.
According to other passengers, Police escorted 25 unruly passengers off the plane to the cheers of fellow passengers.
According to the Guardia Civil, they presented “evident signs of being under the influence of alcoholic beverages”.
It is understood that none of the players was charged but that they could still face fines for public disorder.
