Alcoy requests 5,466 kilos of gunpowder for the Moors & Christians fiesta
The request made to the Government Delegation recorded an increase of 11% of explosive material compared to the proposal of 2018.
The amount of gunpowder requested for the next Moors & Christians fiesta has increased by almost 11%. The Association of San Jorge and the City of Alcoy have asked the Government Delegation to authorize 5,466 kilos of gunpowder, a higher figure compared to the request made in 2018, which was 4,868 kilos
The mayor of Alcoy Antonio Francés, emphasizes that despite the restrictions set by the regulations, which is mandatory this year, it does not slow down the increase in participation in the festivities.
