Carrefour to use three-wheeled electric vehicles for deliveries
As part of an on-going sustainability drive, French hypermarket chain Carrefour has announced plans to utilise a three-wheeled electric vehicle for deliveries.
Given the name ‘Scoobic Light’, the vehicle is 100% electric and can carry 1,400 litres by volume and is able to run for eight hours before needing to be recharged.
The vehicle comes with solar panels for recharging and has been designated as a scooter, which means it can be parked in places that are reserved for motorcycles.
The vehicle will first operate in Madrid before moving to other localities in Spain.
