Spain spends more on education than the USA and UK

In a recently published report on school spending, Spain ranked 10th in the world ahead of both the USA and UK.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)’s report showed that Spain spends 23.7% of its GDP on free public education.

Topping the list was France spending 31.2% followed by Belgium, Finland, Denmark and Italy who all allocated more than 28% of their GDP on public education.

The USA and the UK both spend below the OECD average of 20 per cent.
