Lobster will be the first mobile operator in Spain to offer a service entirely in English to its customers

This operator is mainly aimed at British expatriate clients, and of other nationalities, who reside in Spain, mainly on the Mediterranean coast, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.

The aim of the Lobster brand is to establish an emotional link with British values and services. Under the motto ‘English, easy and effortless’, his proposal is based on simplicity and ease of use for the client.

To register and be a Lobster customer, it will be necessary to identify and facilitate the payment method in which the monthly charges will be made. As of December, the contract will be made online or by calling the customer service number. At the beginning of 2019, it will be possible to do it in physical stores and other points of sale.

The management team is composed of the executive director and general manager, Gabriel Míguez, previously a general director in Yoigo and Telefónica; the director of Marketing, Tony Watts, previously director of product and offer in Yoigo; and the commercial director, Alfonso Rodríguez, previously, a commercial director in Lebara.

For his part, Míguez has assured that the company has “a unique proposal in the market, a competitive rate offer and a team with the necessary experience to carry out the project successfully”.

Lobster is the registered trademark of Zinnia Telecomunicaciones, a Spanish company belonging to the Gibtelecom Group, whose parent company is the leading telecommunications company in Gibraltar. The figure for investment in infrastructure, systems and in the company is more than four million euros.

In addition, it has the coverage of Telefónica to provide national service, with the rest of the technical infrastructure provided by Gibtelecom.

As for the customer service centre, it will have agents that communicate with customers in native English and provide service to the entire English-speaking community. Even so, it will answer calls and have documentation in Spanish for those clients who wish to do so.
