CHRISTMAS COMET to appear Sunday Night
The brightest comet of the year is set to make its closest flyby of Earth in centuries this Sunday.
Comet 46P/Wirtanen, the so-called ‘Christmas comet’ is known to cast a striking green glow in the night sky.
Able to be seen from every location on earth the comet is best viewed using a telescope or binoculars but will for the lucky few be visible to the naked eye.
To get a good view of Comet 46P you will need to find an area away from city lights and look just above the eastern horizon between the V-shaped ‘horns’ of the constellation Taurus.
