Cocentaina citizens put forward their ideas for the town

November 30th was the deadline for Cocentaina residents to put forward their ideas as to where and what projects the town should invest in.

Once the ideas put forward have been studied, those that are economically viable will be put before a public vote to be held February 12th in the Real Blanc Social Centre.

Among the proposals is the building of an outdoor fitness or callisthenic park, the launch of a music festival or the lighting of church belfries.

Councillor for Citizen Participation and Mayor, Mireia Estepa, was very pleased with the interest of the population who contributed their ideas and commented that “the involvement of the people in this process is important because they are our neighbours and it is neighbours directly who decide how to invest a part of the municipal budget.
