A group of American journalists visited Alcoy last week as part of a program organized by the Costa Blanca Tourist Board. This ‘press trip’, which is what this kind of promotion is called, was aimed to make American journalists and their readers aware of Alcoy and its importance as a tourist destination.
Thus, journalists have toured various municipalities, with the aim of learning the culture, gastronomy and tourism possibilities. Besides Alcoy were they learned about the city’s Modernist Route and local craft beers they also visited Dénia for a gastronomic tour.
In 2017, nearly 70,000 tourists arrived on the Costa Blanca from the North America. “From the Costa Blanca Board of Trustees, we are committed to spreading our province in this market, which undoubtedly has great potential for our destiny,” said Vice President and Deputy for Tourism Promotion, Eduardo Dolón.
