Ibi pays homage to a toy company
Long before electronic games and what was once made in Spain started coming out of China, the Alicante town of Ibi was known as the toy capital of Spain.
To honour one of the towns employers, the old Rico toy company. The City Council has installed a large-scale toy aeroplane on the new roundabout on the Avenue Juan Carlos.
The appointment was attended by municipal authorities headed by the mayor, Rafael Serralta, as well as relatives of the owners of the company, who appreciably thanked the town for their gesture.
