Alcoy to miss the worst of Tuesday’s storms

Spain’s state Met Office, AEMET has issued yellow severe weather warnings across the majority of southern Spain and the Balearic Islands for Tuesday.

Thunderstorms with accompanying heavy rain are expected following the arrival of a new cold front that is associated with an Atlantic storm.

While, Alcoy and Alicante province will not experience the worst of the weather we will see temperatures drop to around 11°C early Tuesday morning before reaching a high of 19°C later in the day.

The warnings for Ibiza, Formentera, Mallorca and Menorca will remain in effect through Wednesday.
