Last week, Queen Letizia of Spain hosted an audience at Zarzuela Palace to honour the creation of a new room at the Prado Museum. And while Her Majesty has lately taken her wardrobe into directional territory—Massimo Dutti’s printed accordion-pleat dress for day, Pedro del Hierro’s midnight-blue asymmetric jumpsuit after dark—today she returned to a timeless classic look.
The Hugo Boss tweed suit is a go-to fashion for Letizia, who first donned the outfit this past March for a ceremony in Madrid on World Rare Disease Day, and wore it again in May for Red Cross World Day. The black leather trim created a graphic look together with her black mock-neck top. The interplay of textures on her suit was nicely set off by the transparent PVC strap on her black heels, which were also a wardrobe repeat: Steve Madden’s Plaza pumps. It seems even royals can’t resist a good deal.
