The City Council of Alcoy has fulfilled its commitment to install cameras on the San Jorge Bridge. The objective of these security devices is to control not only traffic but any disturbance that may affect the safety of the city. With these new cameras, Alcoy now has more than seventy cameras to monitor what is happening in the city. All the information is relayed to surveillance operatives housed in the premises of the local police. Copies of the recordings are kept following regulations to help identify facts constituting a crime.
