Mercadona opens Santa Rosa store following a 2.1m euro renovation

Mercadona has reopened its supermarket on Alcoy Street in Santa Rosa following a 2.1 million euro renovation.

The supermarket has a sales floor area of 1,580 square meters and a completely new layout. The new facility incorporates innovative colours and materials both in the exterior facade and in the distribution of the different sections.

According to Mercadona, they have created a store with open spaces using colours and materials that give a warm friendly feeling.

The company also took into account the working environment of their employees by collaborating with the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia to improve ergonomics and eliminate overexertion.

The store has also created a rest area for employees and a better-equipped staff dining room.
