The Alcoy Modernist Fair will feature two exhibitions about sculptor Lorenzo Ridaura
The second edition of the Modernist Fair of Alcoy will feature two exhibitions by Alcoy sculptor Lorenzo Ridaura. The city will also offer activities of all kinds and guided tours for an intense week in which the city will return at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Councilor for Tourism and Heritage, Lorena Zamorano, has announced a new package of activities that will take place during the celebration of the second Modernist Fair of Alcoy, with this year’s fair dedicated to Lorenzo Ridaura.
In an effort to promote the Alcoyano sculptor and his work, the Mutua Levante Foundation has organized an exhibition called “Ridaura de prop”, which will be made up of photographs by Paco Grau. The exhibition can be visited from September 17th from 9:00am to 2: pm and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Sala de la Fundación Mutua Levante in Plaza de España, 15,
During the week of the Modernist Fair, the Alcoy Historical Society will offer a lecture on the life and health of the working class at the time by historian Àngel Beneito on Wednesday 19th of September at 7:30 pm. At the same time Elisa Beneyto and Lluís Vidal will conduct a guided tour of Alcoy Cemetery, focusing on the work of the Alcoy sculptor and the funerary architecture.
